Coffee For Your Skin? Yes, Really!
Coffee for Your Skin? Yes, Really.
You know how some people measure time in seasons or birthdays? I measure mine in coffee phases.
There was the instant-coffee chapter—budget-friendly, dependable, always there when I needed it (usually while cramming for exams). Then came the café era, where I’d detour for a latte just because the barista remembered my name. These days, I’m deep into the ‘grind-my-own-beans-at-home-and-talk-about-notes-of-caramel’ phase. It’s serious now.
But here’s the twist I didn’t see coming: coffee slowly made its way off my kitchen counter and into my workshop.
How It All Started
One cold evening last winter, while stirring a pot of soap mixture in my little workspace, I looked at the coffee grounds sitting on the side and thought... why not? I tossed them in—no plan, just curiosity—and that was the beginning of something wonderful.
What I ended up with was a rustic, rich-feeling bar of soap that not only looked beautiful but felt incredible on the skin. And I was hooked.
Why Coffee is Kind of a Skincare Superstar?
Turns out, there’s a reason coffee has become such a buzzword in the beauty world:
Gentle Exfoliation: Ground coffee helps remove dead skin cells, smoothing rough patches and leaving skin feeling clean, not stripped.
Circulation Boost: That caffeine kick we love in our mugs? It also helps wake up tired skin by stimulating blood flow.
Long-Term Glow: Regular use can contribute to a brighter, healthier look over time—because good skincare isn’t just about today, it’s about tomorrow too.
Packed with Antioxidants: Coffee is rich in antioxidants, which means it’s got some natural defence power against environmental stress.
And it doesn’t stop there…
The Scent that Feels Like Home.
There’s something so grounding about the smell of coffee. It’s warm, familiar, and somehow makes everything feel a little more bearable—especially in the dead of winter. When I paired it with brown sugar and vanilla in our handmade scrub, I knew I’d created something special.
It’s comforting, a little indulgent, and just makes you feel good. Like the skincare equivalent of your favourite hoodie.
Meet the Hand-made Favourites
Now, I’m so excited to be sharing these creations with you soon—both of which will be making their debut in our online shop very shortly!
Coffee Cold-Pressed Soap
This one’s for the true coffee lovers. Made with a nourishing blend of plant-based oils and exfoliating ground coffee, this bar gently buffs the skin while cleansing. It’s fragrance-free, making it a lovely option for those with sensitive skin or anyone who prefers to keep things simple and natural. You still get that gentle exfoliation and skin-loving nourishment—just without any added scent.
Brown Sugar, Coffee & Vanilla Scrub
Honestly, I nearly kept this one all to myself. It smells divine—like warm sugar and your favourite café—and the texture is just dreamy. Brown sugar softens, coffee scrubs, and the vanilla ties it all together like a bow on top. Your skin will feel silky smooth, and your bathroom will smell like dessert. Win-win.
The Perfect Winter Pick-Me-Up.
Let’s be real: winter skin needs all the help it can get. Between the cold air, heating, and general hibernation vibes, we can all use something that feels a bit more alive. These coffee-infused goodies are like little rituals—tiny luxuries that bring warmth, softness, and a moment of calm to chilly days.
So yes, coffee still starts my day—but now it also ends up in my evening wind-down, tucked into my skincare shelf like a little guilty pleasure.
Coming soon to our online shop. Keep your kettle on and your eyes peeled.
With Love,
